Advanced Blemish Removal

Restore confidence with safe, precise removal of unwanted skin blemishes.

At TT Medical Clinic, we provide advanced blemish removal using precision diathermy (thermolysis) to safely treat a wide range of benign skin blemishes. Many skin lesions that were once routinely treated within primary care are now considered cosmetic concerns, leaving many people searching for a safe and effective alternative.

Our medically-led team offers expert assessment and treatment in a clinical environment, helping you achieve clearer, healthier-looking skin with minimal downtime.

Introduction

Many people live with skin blemishes that catch on clothing, become irritated, affect confidence or simply become more noticeable over time.

Advanced Blemish Removal is a highly effective, non-surgical treatment that uses controlled thermolysis (heat energy) to precisely treat unwanted benign skin lesions while minimising damage to the surrounding skin.

Every treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation to assess your skin, confirm suitability and ensure your lesion is appropriate for cosmetic treatment.

What is Advanced Blemish Removal?

Advanced Blemish Removal, also known as Advanced Cosmetic Procedures (ACP), uses a fine sterile probe to deliver a carefully controlled diathermy current directly to the blemish.

The heat generated cauterises the tissue with exceptional precision, allowing the blemish to naturally resolve while preserving the surrounding healthy skin.

Unlike surgical excision, this is a minimally invasive procedure that generally requires little downtime and can treat multiple blemishes within the same appointment.

How Does It Work? (The Science Made Simple)

The treatment works using thermolysis, a controlled form of high-frequency electrical energy.

A tiny sterile probe briefly touches the blemish, delivering heat precisely where it is needed. This heat coagulates and destroys the targeted tissue while sealing tiny blood vessels at the same time.

Over the following days and weeks, the treated tissue naturally heals and the blemish gradually resolves.

Some larger or deeper lesions may require more than one treatment session to achieve the best cosmetic result.

The Treatment Journey

Consultation

Your appointment begins with a full medical consultation and skin assessment.

We will:

  • Examine each blemish

  • Confirm suitability

  • Discuss expected results

  • Explain healing time

  • Provide personalised aftercare

If we are not completely confident a lesion is benign, we will advise medical assessment before proceeding.

During Treatment

The skin is cleansed before a fine sterile probe is used to treat each lesion individually.

Most treatments are very well tolerated and are completed within your appointment time.

Where appropriate, we will remove as many suitable blemishes as possible during your booked session.

Healing & Aftercare

Following treatment you may experience:

  • Mild redness

  • Small scabs

  • Temporary sensitivity

These are a normal part of healing and usually settle over the following days.

Full aftercare advice will be provided, including:

  • Keeping the area clean

  • Avoiding picking any scabs

  • Daily SPF protection

  • Avoiding excessive heat until healed
